Cake is a celebration
and every bite should contain a little laughter, a little
sophistication and should excite your imagination. To that end,
Flours provides our customers with personalized cake design services
to capture the essence and style of your special occasion. We bake
only the finest ingredients into each unique creation, using organic
and local purveyors whenever possible. And, while we adhere to
the utmost in professional service, we welcome our customers into a
warm and collaborative environment where we can work together to
create something delightful.

Artist
Stephanie’s career in cake design and baking evolved
from a life long devotion to the arts and a passion for food.
She earned a degree from New York University where she studied
ballet at Tisch School of the Arts, and then broadened her education
by incorporating business and language studies into her
curriculum. After several successful years as a management
consultant and spending weekends working at a local bakery,
Stephanie decided it was time to pursue her ultimate goal - to
become a pastry chef. She began her professional baking and
cake designing career at a bakery in Seattle, Washington.
After practicing her craft for a while, Stephanie won a prestigious
James Beard Scholarship to attend Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France,
where she received a Diploma de Patisserie while apprenticing
at Maison Boissier. Despite her love for long walks on
the Champs-Elysées, Stephanie returned to the United States, honing
her skills at nationally credited restaurants, cake design studios
and bakeries in San Francisco. Her company, Flours, combines the
classic refinement of her French pastry education with a whimsical
palate of someone who loves to eat cake and is committed to
making the cake an exciting part of your
celebration.
